Our friends over at the excellent Breeze Magazine, have produced a map of the Showground for this year's Moorgreen Country Show as part of the Official Moorgreen Country Show Guide that will be available at the Show.
The guide which will be available for purchase near the Main Entrance Gate, is an excellent full-colour production and features all kinds of wonderful articles and features relating to this years show and its attractions, and comes as an essential and highly recommended guide and accompaniment for all visitors to the 2010 Moorgreen Country Show. The Honey & Bees Show brought to you in conjunction with The Nottinghamshire Beekeepers' Association...

Moorgreen Country Show has a longstanding and proud historic involvement with the Nottinghamshire Beekeeper's Association which goes back many years, where the often-quoted 'father of British beekeeping' William Herrod-Hempsall would compete at the show held and organised annually by the Nottinghamshire Beekeepers' Association.

The Honey & Bees Show brought to you in conjunction with The Nottinghamshire Beekeepers' Association is a competitive show, where visitors can watch the bees at work in an observation hive where thee bees can be seen going about their daily tasks totally unrestrained. Beekeepers will be on-hand to talk about beekeeping to interested spectators and folk looking to take up this ancient hobby.
Additionally, visitors to the show will also be able to purchase honey and beeswax products produced by The Nottinghamshire Beekeepers' Nottinghamshire-based members!
Be sure to visit Honey and Bees Tent at this years Moorgreen Country Show which can be found next to the Horticultural Show Marquee near the Main Entrance Gate for a fascinating glimpse into the world of bees and the honey they produce!

Each year Moorgreen Country Show has a wealth of fascinating Trade and Craft Stand exhibitors to discover and explore and we're happy to report that the 2010 Moorgreen Country Show is no exception!
Our Trade and Craft Stand exhibitors this year feature a vast array of interesting and useful goods to buy, services to discover and promotions to find out about, and you could easily spend a day exploring the trade stands fully alone!
The 2010 Show has everything from face painting to quality new cars / 4x4 vehicles and motoring products / services, from double glazing / fascias / soffits / guttering / conservatories / porches through to animal rescue and animal welfare stands, and from hand-made crafted goods and homemade sweets, toffees and fudges through to Outdoor / Country / Equestrian clothing and products.

Savour the flavour in the Real Food Hall!

Another new section has been added to the site today that features the Show's fabulous Real Food Hall feature. Introduced to the show last year, The Real Food Hall enables visitors to savour the flavour of the regions finest foods and food produce as well as culinary delights from further afield.
This years Real Food Hall features cupcakes, additive/gluten-free sauces, dressings, relishes, and mustards, preserves, honey, vinegars and oils, crusty pies, chutneys, pork scratchings, cheeses, cutting pies, chocolate fountains, handmade chocolates, olives, nuts, dried fruits, Turkish Delight, baklava, preserves, marmalades, Thai curry pastes and sauces, whole leaf teas / infusions and so much more!

We've added a new section to the site focussed on the Show's wonderful Village Green Marquee experience!
The Village Green Marquee features a fascinating insight into the world of arts and crafts, with many traditional craft demonstrations and displays. Additionally many of the features in the Village Green Marquee also enable visitors to have-a-go for themselves!
At this years Show, the Village Green Marquee features Fly Tying, Chinese Vegetable Carving, Coppicing and Green Wood Working, Woodturning, Basket weaving / Willow Weaving, a demonstration showing off the skills of a Fletcher from The Crusader Bowmen, Dowsing, Hand Spinning, Weaving, Rugmaking and Creative Textiles, Hand-Knitted Clothing, an Historical Agricultural Display and anything else that we can manage to squeeze in!
We're rather excited about this year's lineup which we think is one of our best yet, and we're certain it will appeal especially to anyone who loves their 'arts and crafts', and we think it will be a fascinating and fun experience for everyone else too!

We've added a list of Show Officials for the 2010 Moorgreen Country Show to the site.
The list features the details of all the key figures involved in the organisation of the show including the Show President, Show Patrons, the Show's Chairman, General Secretary and Assistant General Secretary, Hon. Treasurer, Junior Vice President, Board of Directors, the various Show Committees, Section Secretaries and contacts, as well as our Honorary Life Members.

Those Pesky Internet Gremlins!

Earlier this week, a site visitor kindly pointed out a problem with some of the various contact forms located on our web site, that had unfortunately escaped our attention.
The problem managed to affect the functionality of our enquiry form, feedback form and newsletter subscription forms, and was caused by a piece of code erroneously working its way in to one of the files that handles form processing on the site during a sitewide 'find and replace' operation, which produced an error when a visitor tried to submit any of the aforementioned forms.
We're not exactly sure at what point this problem cropped up, but we think its likely that forms were broken, unbeknownst to us, for a number of few weeks quite possibly. Many thanks go to the helpful visitor who spotted the problem and let us know about it, which has enabled us to identify and fix the issue. All the forms on the web site have been tested, and are once again working correctly (as of Wednesday 18th August).
Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused to any of our site visitors, unfortunately it was one of those pesky internet gremlin things that crop up from time to time.
If you happen to spot an error on the web site that has escaped our notice, be it anything from a typo, to a broken/incorrect link, or broken functionality anywhere on the site then we'd of course love to know about it, so we can get it fixed up promptly.
Please feel free to use our Feedback Form to tell us of any problems you encounter, or contact the Show Office and we'll look into it as soon as we can.
Online Ticket Sales have ended for 2010, but tickets will still be available on Show days!

Just to confirm that online ticket sales for the 2010 Moorgreen Country Show ended yesterday (Sunday, 15th August) in order for us to get tickets distributed in time for the show.
Many thanks to all those that purchased their tickets at a discounted rate in advance this year via our web site. We hope you enjoyed this great value offer, and are hoping to run something similar similar once again for the 2011 Moorgreen Country Show, tickets for that should be on sale in the new year, as soon as the 2011 ticket prices are confirmed by the Show organisers.
Don't worry if you didn't manage to purchase your tickets online through our web site though. Whilst you missed out on an opportunity to purchase your tickets at a discounted rate to the standard ticket rate, tickets to the show will still be available, as always, at the gates on both show days at the standard admission prices.
We hope to see you at this year's Show!
More Competitor Schedules available

A number of Schedules for Competitive Classes at this year's Show have been added to the site in the last few days including Schedules for Cattle classes, Sheep classes, Fun Dog Show classes, the Poultry, Waterfowl and Egg Show classes, the display of Classic Cars and Vintage Vehicles, and Pigeon Show classes.
As well as being able to download the PDF versions of the above schedules, we've now made it so that you can also conveniently browse through the classes and any appropriate information regarding those classes within the pages of our web site.
We're sorry for the delay in getting the Schedules added to the new Moorgreen Show web site this year and for any Schedules that are still unavailable online. Hopefully that is something we can address for next years show where we hope we'll be in a position to have the Schedules up on the web site much earlier in the year.
Meanwhile, we hope you enjoy browsing through the Schedules and look forward to seeing you at this years show!

For those wishing to exhibit their vehicles as part of the Classic Collection of Cars, Vans, British Motorcycles, Emergency Service Vehicles and American Auto's display at this year's Moorgreen Country Show, we're happy to report the Schedule is now available for online viewing and download on the web site. The schedule includes a welcome from section secretaries Derek and Kate Hodgett including more details about this year's display, as well as entry information together with an entry form for those wishing to take part in this increasingly popular feature of Moorgreen Country Show's annual lineup each year.

Pigeon Show Schedule of Classes available for viewing and download!

We're pleased to confirm the schedule for the Pigeon Show held on Sunday 29th August at this year's Show is now available for online viewing and download. The Pigeon Show takes place on the Sunday only and features some 40 classes including Fancy Classes as well as Flying Classes for our feathered friends!

Toy Story on Horseback and Woody's Activity Yard!

Coinciding with the release of 'Toy Story 3', we welcome Waldburg Shires and their 'Toy Story Musical Ride of the Shire Horses' production to the Show together with the opening of 'Woody's Activity Yard' where kids can sharpen up their skills in activities such as lassoing, panning for gold and the game of horseshoes.

A flying start for the 2010 Moorgreen Country Show...

The 2010 Moorgreen Country Show hopes to get off to a flying start with the magnificent display of Birds of Prey from Worcestershire based GRS Falconry. Featuring around 20 Birds of Prey from around the world including hawks, buzzards, falcons and owls, visitors will get the chance to get up close and personal!
The first ever Moorgreen Working Truck Show

The 2010 Moorgreen Country Show sees the debut of the Moorgreen Working Truck Show. Around 100 of these giants of the road from the Derwent Valley Truck Group will be at the Show on display, together with a Michelin Formula 1 Race Simulator complete with full-sized car!
